IE 9 Won’t be Supported by XP but Win7 and Vista SP2

If you’re still running XP after all these years, odds are you’ve settled in nicely and don’t plan to leave until you have no choice. Well, that might be happening sooner than you expected. Microsoft announced today that they were working on Internet Explorer 9, and that it would not support Windows XP but Windows 7 and Vista.

On the second day at MIX10, Microsoft has made available for download the first release of Internet Explorer 9. The Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview is currently up for grabs from Microsoft.

Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) Demos Next Week

The wait is almost over for new demos of Internet Explorer 9. Come next week and MIX10, Microsoft will showcase the evolution of IE9 since the first demonstration of the browser at PDC 2009 last year. The Redmond company has already published details on a number of IE9-focused sessions scheduled for the coming week. The official MIX10 website was updated to detail the new demos planned for the next iteration of Internet Explorer.
