An early build of Windows 7 SP1 has been leaked on Torrents

Microsoft has started talking about the first major update (Service Pack) of Windows 7. But today, An early interim build of its Service Pack 1 has been leaked out on Torrents and file sharing websites.

The build string is 6.1.7601.16537.amd64fre.win7.100327-0053 which was compiled on March 27th, 2010. The build is quick to install but it’s not clear whether it includes the promised USB 3.0 support or enhanced Bluetooth and Wi-Fi stacks.

Intel Upgrades 100,000 PCs to Windows 7

Intel has assessed Windows 7 extensively, comparing it with Windows XP SP3, and found that the successor of Vista was superior. And nothing speaks better than Intel’s stance on Windows 7 than the fact that the CPU maker upgraded in excess of 100,000 machines from XP SP3 starting in early 2010.

Download Windows 7 Media Center Updates Fixing Reliability Issues

Microsoft has made available for download a number of updates targeting the Windows Media Center component of some editions of Windows 7, including Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate. The new refreshes offered to customers are designed to resolve reliability issues reported by them, such as Windows Media Center displaying Low Bit Rate overlay messages, but also problems related to TV tuner functionality. A total of four updates are currently up for grabs via the Microsoft Download Center, for both the 32-bit and 64-bit flavors of Windows 7.
