How to temporarily disable Startup applications in Windows 7 easily

By Ben Ben    1,312 views

If for some reasons, you need to only temporarily disable your start-up applications from starting up during Windows 7 or Vista boot time, you can do so easily.

Simply hold down the Shift key during the logon process.

This will prevent Windows from starting up the programs/shortcuts located in the following folders:

C\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

C\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

This is especially useful if you need to troubleshoot Windows start-up issues or logon delays.
